Landscape Management

Landscaping is often the largest single expense item in an association’s budget. This produces a tremendous amount of pressure on the landscape committee to get the minimum bid. The fact of the matter is, landscaping is the one property asset that can and should improve with age. Consistent scheduling, diligent attention to detail as well as the informed application of the best horticultural practices are required in order to make this happen. It is a rare occurrence when the minimum bid permits the engagement of best horticultural practices or the attention to detail required to improve the landscape.

It is easy to see that good decision making and sound landscape budgets are absolutely important for a successful landscape management program. We know from hard experience over multiple properties that the best choices for the long term protection and enhancement of the landscape costs a bit more than the low cost “maintenance” practices commonly employed.

“As the Director of Horticulture at Chestnut Hill Realty my main concern is not necessarily the appearance of the landscaping but the way it is treated. With The GroundsKeeper I know that whatever the task, it is going to be done the right way and that they are there to enhance the landscaping and not damage it. Also, because all of our properties are rental, curbside appeal is a major factor. But, again, with The GroundsKeeper everything they do only enhances our property.”
